Center’s Program

Free Play

Play is one of many ways child/children learn from the world around them. It’s a part of our curriculum that requires and provides lots of sensory materials and mediums, various hands- on table activities. Playing with sand, water, play dough, make-believe or even just banging any musical instrument can help them stimulate their growing and learning brain. Our center has different rooms to help and caters children’s interest and need. Our main room offer lots manipulative play, our pretend play room area has plenty of stations for make-believe play and another room floor blocks toys and musical instruments.

Science

 The center believes that science is crucial part of children’s learning which offers hands-on learning. Children love to be engaged and involve in any activities. Our center has science activities that involve basic experiments that is fun and allow children to have the opportunity to explore, learn, investigate, ask questions and make hypothesis. A teacher- facilitated activity that offers fun and involvement while exploring in the world of science.

Outdoor Play/Active Play

Outdoor play/Active play helps gross motor and loco-motor skills such as climbing, running, hoping, jumping and throwing, develops. Outdoor activities develop spatial and body awareness

Music & Movement

We will play various music and song from around the world and introduce them to the children. By doing this, children can learn and appreciate other cultures and different songs globally. Music and movement time is an important and fun part of the children’s day. It offers fun, active and engaging experience for children. As children move and sing they breathe more deeply delivering more oxygen to the brain that could boost their mood. Teachers facilitate and lead the activity involving singing and dancing during this activity.

Sensory Play

Sensory activities allow children to play, get curious, investigate and explore materials with all their senses. Children develop in all learning domains as they explore, create, and play with these materials. Some materials you might find at the sensory tables include: sand, sticks and stones, water, rice or play dough, clay, bubble wrap and seeds.

Dramatic Play

The center has a pretend and learn area that caters to developing a child’s sense of “make believe”. Dramatic play and social interactions begin here. It also encourages self-awareness, creativity and socialization as they play by themselves or with peers, work as a team and learn the basic rules, and they can play both a leader and a follower.

Circle Time  Circle Time is an important part of the classroom’s routine. It is a time for story and language development, calendar; bi-weekly theme topics, finger plays, music and movement activities, and other various learning experiences. They will also learn the alphabets and phonetics, shapes, colors and numbers.

Blocks and Floor Toys Manipulation of blocks helps children develop gross motor and fine motor skills needed to develop the motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Blocks provide opportunities for expressing creativity, playing with peers; developing problem solving skills and familiarity with size, weight and shape develop their pincer grasp

Books and Literacy/Reading Readiness

The center has a wide selection of books and a quiet place for reading that fosters   love of literature. Teacher will pick a book and read to everyone. Reading develops a child’s creativity and cognitive skills. One of the great benefits of reading is to develop their growing imagination and cognitive skills while turning book pages. Reading sessions are also designed to encourage the child to develop the fundamental structures of the language, as well as to begin reading.

 

Art

 Through art, children can express themselves and their feelings. It helps them develop their independence, focus, creativity and self expression. Teacher will provide the material for the day and the children will create or build according to their imagination and level of understanding. The children are encouraged to express themselves through different mediums with the focus on the process rather than the product.

Writing

Writing is designed to encourage development of the child’s pre-writing skills, as well as fine motor skills and drawing skills.. We will learn to trace words, numbers and letters. Some will start by scribbling until the will learn to write words and phrases.

Mathematics

Mathematics helps encourage development of concept-building skills such as counting, classifying, stacking, ordering, determining and learning basic shapes and sizes. Staff will provide table and paper activity for counting numbers activities, blocks, beans or stone for counting and sorting activities.

Show and Share

Show and share has numerous benefits to young children. These supports to build self-esteem, effective communication and listening skills. It also encourage emotional development in children as they share their interest to other peers.

Yoga Poses

Yoga is one form of practice that benefit the mental relation among children this includes breath control and gaining awareness of their own body. It  offers stretches and relaxation poses that calm their own body,self-discpline, improves their balance and coordination with proper postures.

Social Studies and Nature Walks

When your child enter our center, the classroom becomes their community, a safe, happy community with an orderly routine. In their little community they develop their

basic  social life skills like; sharing, waiting and taking turns, practice being both leaders and  followers. In our group time we will be learning about  different people, countries and cultures from around the world. Various games, clothing, music and traditions/customs. In extension to our outdoor times, we will have our nature walks around our neighborhood and nearby parks. In that aspect we can apply what we have learned inside our classroom by observing their surroundings.

Staffing and Ratio

 We Care Childcare staffs are dedicated to the health, safety and well-being of all children in our care. Staffs are professionals and are qualified to meet child care licensing regulations and provide a quality program for your child. All staff must follow/adhere to a number of policies and procedures, as well as Ministry, Health and Fire regulations. Policies and procedures will be reviewed from time to time to ensures our staffs are qualified, knowledgeable and prepared to handle any situation that would arise. Staffs have passed Criminal Record Checks, have valid CPR/First Aid certificate and provide references attesting to their suitability for working with children. We ensure that children are strictly monitored and supervised by qualified employees in sufficient numbers to meet the needs of each child.

Vacation

Center is closed in all statutory holiday. Full fees are required of days missed, illnesses or statutory holidays.

 We will be observing one-week closure per year; Christmas/New Year.Parents will be notified well in advance of the closure dates. And we will not charge for a Parent Fee on any business day closures.

 Center’s Operation

We are open from Monday to Friday 7:30 am – 5:30 pm. Center will be closed all statutory holiday. Statutory holidays are listed below
